Make Top Creators Accept Your Connection Request

In case you did not notice, it’s been a while since you saw an email from me.

For the curious population. I was playing in the National Scrabble Championship (Finished 9th).

And after that, I got severely sick, the worst in the last year.

But we are back now, stronger than ever.

Now let’s move on to business.

During the last month or so I have connected with the Top 0.01% creators!

Just today, I sent Justin Welsh a request and he accepted it in under 10 minutes!

And it’s not just Justin, here are some other of your favorite creators.

A few recent examples. Okay, enough bragging.

So how did I do it?

Do you all want the magical message that I sent to them?

Here it is:

Exactly.

Nothing. Sure I attached a small opening message to a few but that wasn’t what got them to accept the message.

You will see gurus telling you the magic message template but there is no such thing.

Sure it helps a bit and it is nice but in my formula, the creator already is pressing the accept button without looking at the message.

First, let me take you inside the minds of the creators.

They already get like a thousand requests every single day, even I have over 2k pending.

Now if you are sending them a request with this kind of message:

I am immediately saying no or skipping you.

As to why? You should pretty much know it and if you don’t then I will keep it short as to why.

“I don’t know you, never saw you in my comments and I feel like you don’t know me really and just want to use my connection.”

Here is how you actually make sure they 100% accept your connection request.

I call it “The Big Bang Theory Method” (Big bang theory fans should know)

So the method is pretty simple, you simply have to wear them out first and then pack the punch.

In simple terms

Step 1: Get them to know you

Here the agenda is simple. You show up daily for at least 14 days in their comment section. Ideally under 10 minutes to their posting time.

They usually get 500 or more comments and it is physically impossible to respond to all unless you are Luke Matthews kinda obsessed.

Step 2: Show them that you actually pay attention

When you show up to comment, make sure to read the post with focus and then leave a comment:

• Adding value with your own knowledge.

• Asking them a value addition question.

• Sharing your own personal story.

• Expressing your own opinion.

• Supporting them.

All of this makes them realize that you know your stuff and please never use AI, trust me we all know when you do so.

Step 3: Give them something first

Now commenting on their posts is great. Take that a step further. Mention them in one of your posts, and give them free publicity.

Or mention them in the comments of a post you think is relatable to them. You can also send them an article you came across that you think can help them.

Step 4: Send that request

Now, when you have just commented on their post and they have replied, send them the connection request immediately. (Make sure you have commented for at least 14 days before this)

This is the best time to do so because your name is fresh in their mind and the connection request notification pops up right then and there.

That’s all folks.

Now, is this the only method? No.

But this is the method tested and used by me.
