Write a CTA that Converts

By now you must have seen 100,459 posts telling you how important hooks are.

I surely am one of those.

But how many times have you experienced this:

A hook grabbed your attention, you read the post and just when you ended reading it you are left confused.

You do not know what to do after reading it.

There is no call to action!!

And even if there is, it is weak and unclear.

Today let’s talk about the types of CTA and how you can easily write one.

Firstly, what is a CTA and how do you know if yours is good?

Simple, a CTA is a call to action line at the end of any piece of writing.

And you know it’s good when it makes the reader take action.

In short, the more people listen to your call, the better it is.

Now here are some of the best types of CTAs:

1. Power Statement CTA:

Here is an example of what I mean by power statement CTA from Jasmin Alic

But what if I told you this isn’t your traditional CTA?

Even though it isn’t but this makes you take action.

A power statement CTA is one sentence that summarizes your entire post in one sentence.

This statement alone has to be good enough that anyone reading it would know what the post is about.

2. Freebie CTA:

This is when you want them to signup for your free newsletter or download a free checklist or an ebook.

Now, you don’t say that “Subscribe to my newsletter”

This shows that it’s “yours” and it is selfish.

You instead say, “Get untold copywriting tips every week here”

or “Grab your free ebook now”.

Make them feel like it's theirs and create a sense of belonging.

3. CTT (Call to think):

This is a term coined by Ash Rathod. A call to think is when you invite the reader to rack up their brains and think about something.

You make them feel a part of the process, give them importance, and rather than them just absorbing what you say, it helps them run their creative juices too.

Like, how do you think your content is different from others? or

4. Question them:

This is a rather simple one. You ask them a question at the end that makes them want to answer in the comments.

For example: “Which book do you think is the best to learn marketing from?”

or “What are your thoughts on engagement pods?”

5. Pitch it:

The 5th one is where you pitch them to take action and avail your services or buy your product.

This is a straight-on sales call to action.

Example: If you are an entrepreneur making $5000 a month and have 3,000 or more followers then I can help you earn $10,000 a month, DM me now.

And that is it!

Now these aren’t the only CTAs out there. You can get as creative as you want with these.

Test stuff out yourself and keep using the ones that yield great results.
